Universal Medium Vacuum Cups with Center Suspension and Side Vacuum Port

These ANVER vacuum cups feature production quality construction, with a universal design, suitable for most applications. Machine rod suspension mounting, with side vacuum port, ensures strong, long lasting, airtight connections.

Features:

  • Rugged construction designed for production use.

  • Long low-angle lip requires little pressure to make initial contact. This flexibility compensates for inaccuracies in cup height.
  • Two inside sealing edges make contact after vacuum is attained and become the main sealing edges for safety.
  • Cleated bottom eliminates puckering or slipping. Excellent for horizontal or vertical applications.
  • Soft, pliable rubber bonded to a stiff aluminum hub gives these cups an easy quick-attach and a tremendous non-skid grip.

The cup capacities shown above are based on 24"Hg at sea level with a safety factor of two (2) in the horizontal (flat). Vertical Load Capacity is half of the listed Horizontal Load Capacities above.
Rated Load Capacities are estimated; actual capacity will vary based on the load surface and the level of vacuum.

Compressed Air Powered Hand Cups for Setting Tile
Typical set-up shown above. Slide valve and air hose are not included.

ANVER's PHC Series Air Powered Hand Vacuum Cups were designed for the horizontal setting of tiles in the stone industry. They make it possible for you to position loads without pinching your fingers or damaging the load edges. These hand cups make such simple work of laying stone tiles, they have become one of the required tools of the trade.

  • Their versatility make them excellent for quick pick up and placement tasks in all industries.

  • An instant attachment to load feature makes these cups useful for many production lines. They are quicker in operation than our non-powered hand cups for repetitive handling tasks.
  • Designed for a wide range of materials, these hand cups can easily handle most semi to non-porous smooth loads such as stone tiles, sheet metal, wood products, composites, textured plastic, glass, fiberglass, pressboard, etc. If you're unsure of your load's suitability, send us a sample for free testing in our applications lab.

Unique Design Features:

  • These hand cups feature virtually instantaneous attach and release. Release requires simply plugging the small exhaust port with your fingertip. There are no moving parts to wear out so it will hold up to the rugged uses typical in the stone industry.

  • These cups operate using 80 psi of continuous dry, clean air via a 1/4" hose. Air consumption is 0.75 cfm.
  • Foam rings are available on special order which will allow these hand cups to handle rougher materials such as flamed stone, embossed surfaces, tread plate, etc. The foam rings adhere to the base rubber cup and are replaceable.

Note: These powered hand cups are made to order. Please allow 7 business days for production before they can be shipped.

Caution: These suction hand cups are only designed for momentary hand use on small or awkward loads without other natural handles, such as stone tiles and bricks. Their indicated carrying capacities are for handling clean, dry, smooth, non to semi-porous surfaces at sea level with undamaged seals, properly used. We state their carrying capacity conservatively, with a 4 to 1 vacuum safety factor when correctly attached. We recommend not exceeding this, as our carrying capacities are realistic in real world conditions.

We recently revised our capacities down, but we feel you will find our more conservative ratings are accurate for what is safe in most applications.  Along with actual load testing, vacuum hand cup capacities are calculated by a formula based on determining the surface area (cup diameter) under a fixed vacuum level and then dividing by a factor for safety. If you see a competitive cup of the same size with more capacity, it is just that the competitive cup has a lower safety factor.

Note: The PHC Series of vacuum hand cups are only designed for momentary hand use in the handling of small loads in the stone and wood industry. They do not have a check valve or reservoir to hold the load in case of power failure. They are designed for hand use only, and are totally unsuitable and unsafe for attachment to hoists, manipulators, forklifts or for use with any other lifting method or device. For such applications, please see our information on Powered Vacuum Lifters and Vacuum Tube Lifting Systems.
