Customized
vacuum end-effectors that can be designed to bolt onto Gradall®
boom extensions and other mobile cranes and lifters for use at job sites to
install large stone, concrete, and glass panels have been introduced by ANVER
Corporation of Hudson, Massachusetts.
ANVER
Job Site Vacuum End-Effector Systems are custom designed to bolt onto
boom extensions and mobile cranes to permit direct installation of panels
from the front. Powered by the host
equipment’s hydraulic and electrical systems, these vacuum end-effectors speed
the process of installing panels and eliminate manual labor and safety concerns,
claims the firm.
Allowing
air-tight panel installations by eliminating mechanical devices and straps that
can damage edges and interfere with alignment, ANVER Job Site Vacuum End-Effector
Systems can be designed to handle large panels up to 10 ft x 40 ft (3 m x 12 m) and weighing
10,000 lbs. (4536 kg). Featuring fully redundant
systems, each custom vacuum end-effector is constructed with a 4:1 safety
factor.
