Vacuum Relief Valves,
Vacuum Flow Valves for Large Blower Type Vacuum Pumps
Mid range Vacuum Relief
Valves for Regenerative Vacuum
Pumps: 1" Vacuum Valve, 1.5" Vacuum Valve, 2" Vacuum Valve, 3" Vacuum Valve
Allows air to cool
motor bearings and extend vacuum pump life. Recommended any time a vacuum
pump has the chance to dead head and fail as a result. Can be used individually
or in series.

Vacuum handling of non-porous loads may cause a vacuum pump to 'dead-head' and burnout. Most vacuum pumps are not designed for operation under this condition. ANVER Vacuum Relief Valves are designed to protect the vacuum pump from internal damage by preventing this situation. These valves allow a small amount of air into the vacuum pump which cools the pump.
The valves work by opening to atmosphere at a predetermined vacuum level. You need to set these using a vacuum gauge in the system to determine what vacuum level you want. All relief valves can be set to provide the proper protection for vacuum pumps. They are cheap insurance for expensive regenerative vacuum pumps.
The relief valve can be mounted anywhere in the system manifold though usually fairly close to the pump and vacuum qauge to make it easier to work on.
- All valves are Vibration resistant and will hold their settings. They have a spring loaded metal shaft and sealing cup.
- Operational range from 7 in. to 16 in. of Hg (For lower levels, as low as 2 in. of Hg, vacuum relief valves must be used in parallel - see example below)
- We recommend purchasing vacuum gauges shown and mounting them close by to verify your settings.

Easy Adjustable Types:
New Top Sellers
-
Anodized Aluminum construction for long life and rugged dependability. They feature an easily adjustable locking ring and internal bronze bearing for wear resistance.
-
Valves can be reset by user as needed. This new series can be adjusted easily from the top without removing from the manifold.
-
These valves are really easy to set up and use and recommended for most applications.

Tamper Proof Types:
- They are a tamper proof design which is designed to be set, installed and make difficult to tamper with. This is done to eliminate the chance that someone in error closes of air and burns out a pump.
- Plated steel is used for long service life. The VRV 112, 2 and 3 types need to be adjusted from the bottom separately and then remounted and left at the setting chosen. Once set they are left in place and usually not removed.

Valve Settings: In most cases, initial settings for the valve
should be set slightly below the pump's maximum vacuum level. Application type and user
preferences determine what the maximum level should be. Load capacity must be adjusted
accordingly, based on achieved vacuum at the vacuum attachment point.
Need more Flow? If
you need to get to a lower vacuum level or flow rate than the operational range
from 7 in. to 16 in. of Hg you can double them up as the photo above shows.
Using a vacuum gauge and flow meter is recommended to set the valves in critical
applications.
