Main Features:
Instructions for use of Suction Hand Cups HC-S108, HC-S109 and HC-S110
ATTACH AND RELEASE
Note: Both the rubber suction cup and the surface of the load must be clean.
TO ATTACH:
Press the suction hand cup against the surface of the load. Use enough pressure to ensure
sealing rings come in full contact. Operate pump until plunger stays in beyond the red
line.
TO RELEASE:
Press top of valve lever toward the handle and maintain pressure until the
suction hand cup
releases.
WARNING:
The appearance of the red line during a lift indicates that the hand cup is gradually
losing its hold on the load. If possible, set down the load, and pump it up again.
Although the unit has an internal check valve to allow pumping without losing pressure,
ANVER does not recommend this except in extreme situations.
MAINTENANCE
To remove glaze from the rubber suction pad, scrub the surface with a rag that has been soaked in
soapy water. Hold unit face down while scrubbing so that the soapy solution does not get
inside the pump mechanism through the filter felt. Never use oil based lubricants, as they
will cause the rubber seals to swell. Never use a solvent as a cleaning agent on any part
of the hand cup. Do not lay suction hand cup face down on any rough or contaminated
surface. Keep in storage case when not in use.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If vacuum pump leaks, pull plunger out and gently wipe all surrounding surfaces with a soft
lint-free cloth. Also wipe the interior of the handle before replacing the plunger. Coat
the rubber U-cup with silicone grease only (commonly called rubber grease).
REGULAR INSPECTION
Periodically test suction hand cup for
• excessive leakage
sluggishness in pump action
radical increase in the number of pumps
required
Examine handle and plunger for
cracks
loose hardware
Examine rubber pad for
excessive glaze
cuts and cracking
roughness
Make certain that the filter felt is in place.
IMPORTANT: Please read these safety hints and warnings before using this suction hand cup.
Make
sure that the surface of the load is clean, free of dirt, powder, oil, etc. LIFTING
CAPACITY
Material must be smooth, flat, and non-porous.
Inspect suction hand cup before each lifting
task.
While lifting, make sure that all body parts
are a safe distance away from the load.
The HANDLES of the lifter are for HAND LIFTING
TASKS ONLY. Never attach ropes or chains to the handle.
The following data is the result of testing on a clean, dry, and smooth surface at a
vacuum level of 21 inches of mercury. The safe lifting weight reflects a safety factor of
4.
