Lifting Frames for Remote Vacuum Generators
Custom Vacuum Lifting
Frames and Vacuum Generators
ANVER also builds vacuum
frames and individual vacuum generators for special applications, such as vacuum
heads for
automated equipment and manipulators. Usually the reason for a remote
vacuum attachment is that it needs to be mounted on a pick-and-place machine or
manipulator where weight must be minimized at the attachment head or there is not
enough headroom
for a complete lifter. Most such applications are one of a kind and designed
for a specific task.
Lifting beams with remote vacuum stations should not replace traditional
operator controlled vacuum lifters as they always pose an inherent potential
safety problem. With a standard vacuum lifter, you normally have a vacuum
reservoir and check valve on the lifter frame. If power is lost or an airline or
electric cord going to the lifter gets pulled out or cut, the unit will not lose
the load. If it is a porous load then you may lose vacuum through the load, but,
usually, you will have enough time to safely get out of the way. With a lifting
frame and remote vacuum station, you need to be extremely careful of the supply
hose going to the lifting frame. If you were to lose vacuum by having the hose
get pulled out or cut, you would immediately drop the load since the vacuum
reservoir and check valve are located at the remote station, not on the frame or
hose leading to it. This is the main reason why lifting frames without built-in
vacuum stations have limited use.
However, if you have a special vacuum application, ANVER's knowledgeable applications engineers can help you put together a Vacuum
Lifting Frame suited to your needs.
